Here's a recipe for my favorite marinated slaw that we have enjoyed for many years. You can make this a day or two before needed and it will last in the fridge up to 10 days or so (although it has never made it that long in my fridge
).
Harvest House Slaw
1 head cabbage - slivered thin
1 green bell pepper - cut in rings
1 med. to lg. onion - cut in rings
1/2 Cup sugar
Marinade
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. celery seed
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 cup white vinegar
3/4 cup vegetable oil
Bring to boil and pour over slaw mixture. Stir/mix and store in fridge.
