Making sure I get this right...

Hello, I've been reading post after post on this site and they have all been super helpful. I've also been reading over Pool School, Pool Math, and ABC's--Wow what a great resource this site will be for years to come. (New to the pool thing)

Thank you to everyone that chimes in and helps out and doesn't make us rookies feel like dummies. Anyway, I finally gave up on trying to figure my pool chemistry out all by myself (pool stores are no help) and have decided to ask you all for your advice. If I'm using my test kit correctly and reading all the articles and Pool Math correctly, I don't think I'm too far out in left field, but any advice would be greatly appreciated just to make sure I'm headed in the right direction...

Took these readings yesterday evening 1700ish with Taylor k-2006, first time using this kit, thanks for the advice on purchasing it!!

27K IG Pebble Finish pool w/SWG
FC .5
PH 7.8
TA 160
CH 270
CYA 60
My auto systems says my salt level is about 3.7

I know my CYA & CH is low, which is why my FC is low. TA is high along with PH.

So, Add CYA (any recommendations for type/brand)
Add Chlorine (Bleach)
Add Muriatic acid

Is there anything else I am missing, and in which order should I attack these issues??

Thanks again!!

You can get a skimmer sock and pour about 2.5-3 lbs of CYA in there, at the same time you can add about 1 gallon of 8.5% bleach. CYA will bring down the pH a little from my experience, I think your pH is fine anyway, but you can further balance your pH after that. I just use the standard granular CYA, I think they are all the same.
