So I inherited an old pool which I am opening for my third season. Just took the cover off and the water looked great, however, the level was way down and it lost about 9,000 gallons over the winter.
I’ll attach some photos but I think the culprit is an old return line that was capped sometime in the last prior to us buying the house. I’m going to investigate more but I’m basing my assumption on the fact that the fitting is where the water level currently sits. Anyway, has anyone had anything similar happen and based on the photos does anyone have a recommendation for replacing this cap fitting and gasket? The fitting is held in with 4 screws.
Thanks for the help - Keith
