Lower output for lower water temp?

So over the course of the summer pool temp got up to around 87, and I was running our swcg at 60% and maintaining around 4-5ppm, my cya is a little low, at around 50. The last week or so the weather has been much cooler, so water temp has dropped to around 77. With the same settings, my chlorine is up to around 10 now. Is it normal to see that much difference with a 10 deg temperature change? First year with the pool, so still learning!I

Lower water temperatures are usually correlated to less sun exposure. So, it can make a difference in the amount of fc loss.
