We recently opened our 20,000 gallon vinyl inground pool (New England), and it's been going great for the first few weeks. Today, we ran into a situation where suddenly the pump water pressure is very low. It is only reading as 2-3 PSI. We noticed one of our two jets does not really blow water - only if we cover the other one, do we feel water. We cleared out the skimmer basket and the filter basket (which was filthy!), and have run the sand pump on a couple of backwash/rinse cycles, but these haven't worked. We did vacuum to waste using the manual vacuum earlier in the day (which honestly doesn't work that great for me at any rate). I read on a TFP blog a possible next step would be to use a hose to try to force a potential blockage out of the suction side. Does anyone have any ideas we should pursue next? We also got an error message from the gas pool heater, "water SW open", which I guess makes sense in light of the low pressure. Pictures attached of our set up. Thanks much for any thoughts!
