Low chlorine!

I just purchased a new SWG, and chlorine is low. I completed a SLAM, and it rained hard for a couple of days - but my question is this: how do I know if my new SWG is working? I will do another chlorine drop test in a couple of days (working!). I used to run my old SWG at 30-40% and it maintained 5-7PPM chlorine. Now I have the new one at 90% and chlorine was only 1 PPM yesterday (CYA is at 70). Thanks in advance!

Oh yes, one minor follow up. My variable pump (I believe) used to activate the SWG on low speed ~1200 but now there is a low flow light on when I run the pump at lower speeds. I run the pump at 3,000 RPMs for 4 hours a day, and the rest of the time I run it at lower speeds speed. Thanks!

The SWCG will only generate chlorine when the flow light is green.
Your filter is likely dirty. When did you last fully clean the filter?

Backwashed it a couple of weeks ago. Fully cleaned it a couple of months ago. Pressure is good in the filter. Any way to determine if the SWG is working?

Backwash the filter. With all the pollen and organics this year, your filter is likely dirty. Tell us if the flow light comes back on a slow speed.
After you backwash, lower your RPM until the flow switch turns the cell off. Then add 200rpm and run at that speed. It will give you a bit of room for dirty filter.
Also, note your clean filter pressure on high speed (3000). When you clean filter pressure rises 25%, backwash the filter again. If it is 10 clean, backwash when it gets to 12.5. Always note filter pressures at high speed.
