I have new pebbletec. They say to keep the CH low, but pool math is telling me it’s too low. It’s high according to pebbletec guidance. I am trying hard to learn to care for my own pool, but sometimes I’m just not sure what advice yo follow.

Your chemistry looks absolutely beautiful! Don't worry about the out of range alert from pool math. You are still within recommended CH range.

CSI is more important than any one parameter. Maintain CSI between 0.0 and -0.30.

That’s really helpful. Thank you. I’m keeping cya where it is as I have special 80 UV screens on my cage so I’m assuming I’m somewhere between an indoor and an outdoor pool. I’m starting to get less nervous about it all - although I’m glad I don’t have to add anything for the CH at the moment. I’m testing every day for FC and Ph (my water guru sends that to my phone each morning) and I am doing all the Taylor’s tests twice a week. Learning. Learning. Learning. Appreciate the comment.

You're doing an excellent job. Be vigilant on chlorine levels. Never allow FC to drop below the minimum. That may or may not require more than bi-weekly testing. You are in the best position to know.

Best wishes!

Free Chlorine and Ph gets tested every morning at 9.10 am by my water guru. I spent weeks double checking it’s results and they are accurate according to my Taylor’s kit. I still double check those two things when I do all the testing with Taylor’s twice a week.
