Loud pitch noise from new IntelliFlo Pump

I bought a IntelliFlo Variable Speed Pump - 011028 in late March. Installed it myself, as it was pretty much straight replacement.

Everything has worked great and been happy with my upgrade, until today it started to have a very loud pitch noise while running. Here is a video of the noise

My guess is a bad barring? But its so new.

Any insight? Thank you.

I agree, it does have a bearings sound to it. But that grinding sound of rocks almost sounds a bit like cavitation as well. @JamesW could there be something else to consider?

Sorry didn’t get notified of a reply.

No leak anywhere. So I went ahead and turned off the pump that night, didn’t want to damage it and was getting dark.

Next day I went to get video of it turning on. And the noise never came back. It’s been running fine ever sense.

But the weird thing is when it was making the noise I turned it off and on a bunch of different times to empty skimmer basket, check this and that, and the noise always came back.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. For now going to hope it was a small rock or something that is now free.
