Opened the pool yesterday (pushing the season as much as possible since I am sick of winter). Today I find a fair amount of DE on the bottom. I took the brush and swept/pushed it all into suspension in the hopes that the filter will eventually take care of it. Is this typical? I had this issue last spring as well. When I tore down and cleaned my filter last fall, I didn't see any tears or holes in any of the "lungs" so I don't think that's the issue.
It would seem to me that upon the first few dumps of DE into the skimmer that much of it passes through the pores and this is what I'm seeing on the bottom today.
Or, is this indicative that I added too much DE or some other sinister anomaly?
