We're quickly realizing that we need to get an above ground pool, stat. We're in southern AZ, the cruel summer is bearing down on us, and this family of four needs something to keep us all from going insane. It seems we snoozed and lost on the cheaper but decent looking options (Intex), as they all seem to be out of stock now.
But I have my eye on this one Lomart Verona 16' Round 54" Tall Above Ground Pool - Salt Friendly
It fits the few parameters that we've set:
But I have my eye on this one Lomart Verona 16' Round 54" Tall Above Ground Pool - Salt Friendly
It fits the few parameters that we've set:
- Size - our concrete pad is about 17' wide x 24 ft long and we don't want to use it all up with an oval. So a 15-16 foot round is about as big as we can go.
- Salt water compatibility. If at all possible we want to go SWG, hate highly chlorinated water.
- Not ridiculously expensive. Trying to keep the up front cost under $2k.
- Will last at least a few summers, ideally 5 plus. I know maintenance and proper installation has a lot to do with that, and plan spend the time and effort on that. We just don't want to go to all the trouble and expense for something that's going to fall apart after a couple of years.
- Does that pool linked look like a decent option?
- What is the best option for affordable pump? Will this Waterway sand pump they have listed as an option be OK? Carefree 16" Sand Filter & 1HP Single Speed Pump Above Ground Pool Combo
- I found this SWG that looks decent and affordable: ControlOMatic | MegaClor Chlorine Generator for Salt Spa/Hot Tubs. Thoughts on that? I couldn't find gallon volume for that pool but my maths say ~6500 gallons, and that one is rated to 12,000 gallons.
- What else should I be thinking about before I pull the trigger?
