Longer Intex Hose Needed for Backwashing

I finally got my 12 x 24 Intex Ultraframe up and running yesterday. The problem is that the Intex flexible hose I am using for backwashing With the Intex Krystal Clear sand filter pump is way too short for my particular yard. The hose looks to be about 3 or 4 feet and I need a minimum of a 12 foot or longer hose specifically for backwashing only.

Can anyone recommend what I can do to lengthen the existing hose to 12 feet or longer or recommend an entirely new hose I can use at that length? This is extremely urgent because the pool is next to a slope and when I backwash, it’s going to automatically run down a hill and flood back under the pool with the current hose, even when I point the hose away from the pool. The longer hose will solve this problem.

This is what I did. I made one of the adapter fittings to adapt to PVC. I had originally used the backwah hose you can get anywhere but it didn't last but a couple seasons. I now use a piece of PVC that extends to my drainage behind the house that I remove when not in use.
You could probably also cut the Intex hose and just use the larger backwash hose and a hose clamp for temporary use. Hopefully this helps.

If I use my existing (1.5 inch diameter) Intex hose, what (diameter) size hose should be attached to lengthen it? And all I need is a metal hose clamp to connect the two hoses?

Thanks, that’s exactly what I just bought. I just started using the Filter/pump for the first time 36 hours ago after the initial backwashing & rinsing. I’m running the pump for at least 12 hours a day for now. Hopefully I won’t need to do another backwash until the hose and adaptor arrive on Tuesday.

I also ordered a set of metal clamps to secure the hose although I’m not sure if they’re actually needed. Is there anything else that I should be using such as Teflon tape or a rubber O-ring?

Just the band clamp, I forgot that detail, you would have gotten soaked lol.

You can get the backwash hose anywhere that sells pool supplies. Ace Hardware, Home Depot, Lowe's, pool supply store (stay away from the chemicals!), Amazon if you don't mind waiting...
