I've been maintaining my 28,000 gallon unground vinyl pool for almost 30 years. Hayward DE filter. Live in eastern MA so our season runs from memorial day to October. I have always relied on my local pool guy to measure the chemistry and provide the chemicals. I have found over the years that by mid summer I always had an issue with algae blooms and spent a lot of time and money chasing.
I installed a circupool RJ 60+ a couple of weeks ago. unfortunately I am struggling to maintain FC at 3ppm and have been adding a lot of powdered shock.

I suspect that your CYA is very high and that 3 ppm of FC is not close to what you need.

A SWCG is not going to make algae go away once you get it..

What is your current CYA (Stabilizer) level??

Is your pool cloudy or green right now?
