Having issues with the above cell. As you will see from my logs I am using the cell and not getting any Cl increase from it. When I first started it the Cl increase was reasonable for 24hrs of service and now the Cl is dropping even though I have increased the % output and even tried another cell. Thoughts and suggestions?

Yes. You last showed a CYA of 40 (always round up) so I would suggest you take the FC to 8 ppm for the OCLT.

Ya, I added CYA and am waiting a few days before testing. Hoping to be in the 50-60 range for that. I have 10L of liquid and will raise to match the CYA/FC recommendation

Ok, should be close to 10 using "effects of adding" as my guide. Will test tonight when dark and again in the AM. Solar blanket is on for the duration

Hard to tell but if there are bubbles of hydrogen and chlorine gas being created, then it is working.

Ya, looks like a stream of smoky water and as I turn the output up and down the "smoke" increases and decreases as you would expect. I have ran a quick test about an hour after adding the liquid Cl and it appears to be fine. The 20 Mule addition may have been a little too much but for now everything seems good for an OCLT tonight. Do you concur ?

Well I guess that OCLT will tell us that but the pool is spotless other than the water is cloudy (can still see the bottom) which was always our indicator that the Cl was dropping before I found TFP...

Cloudy water is typically algae. Unless you add a bunch of calcium chloride or a pool store potion.

I found TFP....no pool store for me.

Thanks for the quick replies. Greatly appreciated and we will see what the AM brings. Am I correct that FC should not drop more than 0.5 between PM and AM tests?

A drop of 1 ppm FC is fine overnight. But with cloudy water, you actually all ready meet the criteria to perform the SLAM process.

Prior to finding TFP, hazy water was always my sign that the Cl levels were dropping in the pool. I haven't pulled the solar blanket off to check the clarity but will do so. I will also install a newer cell as I think the current one is near end of life as I am getting "add salt" light when I know the salt level is fine. Signs of a failing cell.
Anyways, thanks for the guidance!!
