Little Bugs in Pool

Hi,

We have got thousands of these little tiny bugs in our pool. They seem to grow in the stagnating water between the pool cover and the liner, but they show up overnight. In otherwards not there one day and suddenly thousands there the next day. I originally mistook these for pollen. They are tiny little things, almost look like yeast.

Does anyone know what they are and how to get rid of them? We are in Southwestern Canada. Pool chemistry is good and chlorine is around 4 ppm. Salt water pool.

Thanks

Hard to tell from the photos, but the description matches springtails. See if you can get a close-up of the bugs in your pool and compare them to photos online. They're very difficult to get rid of.
