Liquid Chlorine from Pinch a Penny smells different

Hi, I need some advice. I have been getting my liquid chlorine refills from Pinch a Penny. They have the 10% strength of sodium hypochlorite, comes in a golden 2.5 gallon tub. I just refilled 4 of those tubs 2 days ago, was trying to slam my pool last night, and the chlorine did not smell like regularly. Usually when I open the cap, I would smell this very strong vapor and almost sting my eyes, but I smelled it close, no smell.

This morning I swung by the store, and the store owner told me not to worry, because smell does not have any influence on the strength / potency and guaranteed that it will function as before.

Can you give some advice?

Did the chlorine amount you added have the desired FC increase? If so, it's fine and nothing to worry about.

I use Hasa chlorine in refillable 1 gallon jugs. It almost never has any odor and works as intended.

The PAP stuff just doesn't have that raw chlorine smell for me. Never has. Works fine.
