Liner Doesnt Seem to Fit

Hello,
New L shape kit almost finished. The Findlay brand liner has a wrinkle and doesn't seem to fit the outside corner well. Its not just a loose wrinkle. There is some stress. It is also pretty tight at the deep end, at the diving board end.

I started at the steps and the vertical liner seam is maybe a foot off from being in the center of the steps. From inside the pool, the vertical line has to be moved to the left, to allow the corners to fit correctly.
I have installed 2 liners and this doesn't seem to fit the same as the others. I removed and carefully reinstalled, and the same problem emerged. I am almost certain that my orientation is correct.
Will this liner work? Where are the measurements off?
Any help is appreciated!!

Did you order this with dimensions provided from the kit? If so I would measure the actual pool and compare. This doesn’t look like something you can make up for in the field.

Yes, it was ordered with the kit. It was not made from actual measurements. Dimensions should be pretty close on the pool.
Can you look at the picture and tell where we could be off on measurements?

Should the vertical seam on the liner always be in the center of the steps?

I installed the steps area first. There is no way that the vertical line can go in the middle. Looking from outside the pool, at the step entrance, when the seam is centered, I have maybe a foot of excess on the corner to the left of the steps and not enough liner to go to the right.

If I install on the side to the left of the steps first, a problem arises when I get to the outside corner. The liner seems to fit that corner in an odd way. That makes me think the liner is too short from the inside corner to the outside corner. It almost looks like the bottom of the liner is off more than the top. Of course the top has the coping to hold it and the bottom doesn't so I may be wrong.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated

Did you buy the kit locally? If so they need to come out & measure & get you a proper fitting liner.
Either way the pool, as it sits, needs to be measured and the liner replaced with the right size or possibly altered in the field by a pro.
I would call who you got the kit and liner from and send them the pics - asap. You can’t finagle this to fit.

It is a Findlay liner bought from Royal Pools. They are not local.
How could it be altered in the field? We are on a holiday weekend. I will call Royal on Tuesday.
So you feel certain that this can't go in? I was pretty sure not but it's pretty short in the deep end so I didn't know if it might stretch and twist out some.
We had a 5hp and a 3.5 hp shop vac on the deep end and the liner still didn't seat into the hopper all the way.

I'm thinking If it won't seat properly with vacuums then it's a no go. Is that correct?
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!!

Some talented individuals can make seams and alterations in the field. *This isn’t super common in the US & I personally would prefer a new liner to be sent out.
Take lots of pics of the problems & contact royal pools. There should be some info you received with your liner (numbers) so they can check that they did actually send you what is supposed to be the correct liner. Sometimes things just get manufactured wonky. You must now determine if its the pool being off or the liner is wrong. My $ is on the liner being off.
Measure the pool.

Ok, I will measure again.
I started thinking. The liner seems to be cut very tight. Given that fact, if the walls were off even slightly it could cause that strain.

That may not be the case. I was just thinking of what might cause this. The long line measures are right but this liner is very tight there. Much tighter than I've seen.

If it turns out were out, they can make a liner to fit it perfectly?

I would attempt to measure the liner between each curve (center to center) & compare with the pool measurements. To me (only having this one picture) it looks as if one of these two sides is either too long or too short

Did you get it attached on the other sides?
Got more pics?

Here are some more pictures. The short wall, with the
Outside corner seems to be the problem. We tried installing it first on the second go and it still seemed to be a problem.

Yea the little part of the L is looking like the issue. There’s no making that wrinkle right. I don’t think.
If its really warm & sunny there the hopper part may stretch more. If the steps aren’t sealed I am not sure you can get tight enough vacuum on it. Definitely call them tomorrow.

We had a pro come out. He was an absolute jerk but he got it installed.
He taped EVERYTHING with duct tape. He pulled the liner down and taped the coping to the walls. He also had plywood to put over the steps, with coping at the top, to better seal the liner.
He used two large pool specific (I think) vacuums. The sun came out strong and he had the liner in place in a few minutes.
He made it look easy.
