We r having problems with our salt cell and are going to replace/repair the panel. We already tried soldering the K1 but that didn't work for more than a few minutes. I have another thread started about that issue. Somewhere during this time I noticed that my pool lights that change colors if we want them to are not like they used to be. Specifically, one is green and one is clear. I haven't gone through the whole process of changing the lights. I'm wondering if that is probably due to the board and if we get the board repaired should I have a certain part of the board looked at or could this issue be to something else? thx!

Thought it was time to follow up with your post to see if you cracked the code on the lighting issue. I have no experience with the conversion you have been doing, but perhaps we can get more views so someone can help you if the issue hasn't been resolved. Post back as much as you like.
thx! No progress yet. I ordered a new motherboard from poolsupplyworld a week ago and they still haven't shipped it! I called them again today. I'm hoping I'll get that soon and that will fix it but I have no idea. I'll post either way for sure!

I'll give an update to the light while I'm posting on my other threads regarding other stuff that's still or now not working right. Ended up that 1 of the lights went out completely now. I'm surprised that this will be the 2nd or 3d time that we change the light on a pool that is 6 years old and we rarely use the lights. From when I remember the pool builder said that the lights would last many years. Is this common? It seems that nothing lasts on a pool, much worse than a car.

You're right, it is odd. Lights should last much longer. Is your builder able to assist, either personally or by submitting a warranty claim on your behalf?
I'm glad to hear that lights should last much longer... I think. I've heard that about salt cells and we already had to change out or motherboard. Our UV light has also been changed a couple of times. It just seems way too much. I think we've gone through 4 salt cells. We rn't using lights much, motherboard was prob due to a lightening storm, Hayward cells should've lasted longer, Jacuzzi brand-unsure what the deal has been with them... We've had the pb warranty some stuff with no questions and them just saying somexs things don't last... but we're out of warranty for things now so we're on our own dime. I just don't understand why it seems we're having such bad luck. I can't imagine we're doing all that much wrong. We're at least ahead of many who don't use TFP... thx!
last night I noticed one light was dimmer and I've noticed the 2 lights being different colors. I thik something is going on with the new circuit board. maybe my husband installed something incorrectly.

I don't know. You're an expert! We run in circles around ourselves over here. With all the things we have wrong that we've tried to fix we're prob just going to pay the pool company to come back out and do it for us. I can't believe how expensive they end up being but maybe they would've done it right? Depends who we get that visit I guess. Now that the warranty is over it's really hitting home. I'm just so surprised how much can go wrong with the mechanics of a pool that is not that old.Probably. We're always messing up.

There can be some growing pains, but it should settle to where you can enjoy your investment. I remember we had to have our pump replaced in under one year, but then things smoothed out.
