Leveling Question: Upgrading from Easy Set to metal frame Intex Prism

Hi!
So, I’m upgrading from my inflatable ring easy set style 12’ x 30” pool.

I hand leveled the ground by removing earth, set down a very thick tarp, and then set up the easy set pool.

I measured the height of the water around 4 equal cross points of the pool. It was 1” too tall on opposite sides, so the easy set pool had become an oval and begun to roll like a water balloon. (See image)

Considering the ideal scenario is no more than 1” un level, 2” max, would I be alright leaving the land as-is for my new Prism Frame pool of the same size?

What is the next best step I should do before setting up my prism frame pool?

That is close, the 1 inch may be a little off but it should be fine.. the closer you can get it the better..

first order of business is to get a good test kit - Test Kits Compared - Trouble Free Pool
then start reading pool school - Pool School - Trouble Free Pool
especially - ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry - Trouble Free Pool

many put the frame top together and set pavers where the legs will go. it takes some adjusting as you fill, and if your soil is good this step isn't strictly needed for the round pools but it will help with keeping the bottoms from rusting (which is the main failure with these pools)

many also use foam boards under both for protection and for comfort. personally I probably wouldn't repeat that exercise and would just use a gorilla pad for the protection factor, I don't need cushion in a pool. and all that taping in August was an expensive, hot sweaty chore for not much return. water is a good enough cushion for me LOL
