Leaving hot tub empty

Hello,
I just drained my stand alone 350 gallon hot tub to change the water and was wondering if it were OK to leave it empty until the hot summer months were over?
I shop vac all the water I could from tub and jets but there may still be some residual water in the pipes. Thoughts?

I did the same for several years without problem. I winterized it the same way and added a bunch of antifreeze anywhere I could get to. Plan on doing a purge with ahh-some when you fire it back up. Most covers sweat due to the condensation of daily temperature swings and also let rain water seep through so the tub will probably accumulate water anyway and it goes stagnant quickly.

I have drained my spa for years during the summer. After purging, rinsing and emptying the spa I also disconnect the union at the pump to fully drain the water and also use my shop vac. I open the cover every month to rescue any trapped spiders and check for moisture.
