Leaving for ten days--advice?

The family is leaving tomorrow for 10 days. If no one is able to add chlorine while we're away, what should I do tonight/tomorrow morning to prepare? My cya is 30, so slam level of FC is 12. I added enough liquid chlorine tonight to bring the FC up to 9, but I planned to add 3-inch trichlor tabs as well for longer-lasting chlorine, so I didn't want to bring the FC all the way up to 12 without more guidance. Any suggestions?

Update: I do have a friend who is going to come in 5 days and test the water with a good test kit. Should I still add some tabs tomorrow, and what level should she bring the FC up to five days from now when she tests it? Thanks!

The tablets dissolve slowly so i think your plan is fine. If the floater is full maybe just have them empty the skimmers.

Have them bring it back to SLAM when they go, and refill the floater. It may not empty but it won't be full either.

In my pre-swcg days I would do about like you plan and raise to SLAM just as you leave.

I would also leave floater full of tabs in the pool. (I would anchor the floater to a bleach bottle filled with quickrete because I was paranoid about it sitting against the liner, no idea if that is a legit concern, but that's what i did.)

Having your friend bring it back to SLAM would be superhelpful.

I see you have an autocover. Assuming they are what they sound like, covering after you raise to SLAM would help immensely, perhaps even more than your friend at day 5.
