Leaving for a week

Just got my pool up and going. Temp was 74 so i cranked the heater to 84 and the baby and i swam. GLORIOUS!

BUT - we have to go away for a week.

I can put my pool on a timer, and the SWG should keep things going well. What else should I do? My skimmer basket fills up often since we are under trees.
I want to be somewhat swim ready when we get home - Ottawa has a season of about 4 months - so short that a few days kills me.

I am considering asking my mom to come and look in on my pool - BUT I know that any complex instructions will cause her anxiety. This means she may screw it up. I will get another friend to do something midweek - just need to ensure that I've got a simple routine while we're away.

Any help really will help!!! Thank you.

I tell my brother to look at the pump periodically. If it isn’t running, he should see the “sleep” light. If he doesn’t, call me and I’ll tell him what to do.

Would your mom be ok cleaning out the skimmer basket? If not, do you have another intake to your pump, so that even if skimmer is full, water still will flow to pump?
