Leaking pump basket lid with new o ring/lube

I have a pump basket lid that leaks with pump is off. The lid does not seal to the basket anymore. I replaced the o ring several (3) months ago, could it be time to replace it again? It causes air in pump basket and leaks when pump is off.
Is it possible there is a problem with the basket itself? or is it going to be the lid? I can't see any chipped areas but does look warn some where it locks to the lid. Dynamo 340210 1.5 hp pump

Did you lubricate the new o-ring with silicone lube? If so, I think the problem is likely to be the clear lid. I had to replace mine when it developed a completely invisible leak. (Different pump, though.) In any case, that's likely the next cheapest replacement after the o-ring.

yes I did lube it. I think I need a new lid.
