So, I thought I had 2 problems with my backwash line that runs from the filter around to the front of the house. I know that it had a leak about half way along the side of the house. I also know that the end of it it doesn’t line up straight with the house drain, and when I backwash some misses the drain and puddles around the front yard
So yesterday I had the Gardner dig up the spot where it leaks and patch that. Today I noticed that water was dripping steadily from the backwash line towards the drain, even though I wasn’t backwashing. In fact it was a slow steady stream.
I have a Hayward Variflow valve. I’m guessing that I might need a new spider gasket. Is this right?
