My pool is leaking and it is leaking down the slope of my grass, but the leakage stops once the skimmer level is reached. Not sure where underground the leak would be of if right at the skimmer and leak is deep enough not to surface until lower in the grass. Initially I thought a leaky pipe but since it stopped at skimmer level now I am unsure

Photos would help to understand the issue if you can provide those. if the leak stops at skimmer level - is this at the level where the pool water no longer enters the skimmer? Have you looked inside skimmer if there is a crack? Also, you can place some dye with a syringe and watch where it is sucked out.
