We are new to owning a pool. We purchased property with a gunite pool last year. At the end of the season, we drained the pool completely thinking we would give it a good inspection now and refill it for this season. During the fall/winter, many leaves filled the pool. We have now cleaned it all up but now we have leaf stains and nasty rain water stains all over the pool. How can we best clean this before filling it up. The pool does look to be in excellent shape. We also have a ring around where the tiles are at the top of the pool and we are wondering what cleaner should be used to clean that up as well. Thanks in advance for any advice.

It is best to fill it up and then work the stains. Organic stains can be removed by maintaining elevated chlorine levels and brushing the pool.
