Hey everyone,
With all of the stress that comes with a pool build, I never got to post my install which was completed last October here in North Texas (DFW). Our lot is almost half an acre and we were originally going to build the pool at ground level, but the grading on our yard was so steep that the pool would've been far away from the house and would've been close to the trees in our yard, possibly damaging the roots, so we decided to build the ground up with the dirt that they removed and butt the pool deck up against our existing patio, which you can see in the pics below. After the pool was set, another company came and built a composite wood deck around the pool, which we preferred over just adding more concrete. I just installed a TV in the pergola so now we can really enjoy ourselves during football season, watching my 49ers while soaking in the spa! LOL
It's a 15,200 gallon 35x15 fiberglass pool from Leisure Pools, model Allure 35. Has the built in spa, splash deck and bench seating in the deep end. Also like that it has a lip around the entire perimeter of the pool which you can use to grab on to, just in case. We originally wanted the Ultimate model, but this freeform model fits better with our yard. Just opened it for the first time a few weeks ago and the kids are having an absolute blast.
As far as equipment, it's all Hayward, with a 150 sq ft cartridge filter, VS pump, gas heater, swg and Omnilogic automation. I really do enjoy the fact that I can do EVERYTHING from the app or website, so I never have to touch any of the valves or controls on the equipment pad. The pool also has 4 umbrella anchors, of which 2 are being used for volleyball nets, 3 deck jets, and 3 lights (I should've added a 4th). They originally installed the wrong lights which they didn't realize till AFTER the cement pour and they had to break up the concrete near the spa to change that light. Also, had the concrete texturized and stained with the Kahlua Creme color as well as added a Polaris 965 and a Betta SE robot to make keeping the pool clean a piece of cake!
Including some pics of the installation from last October and current use.
