Just wondering if anyone had any experience with either and can maybe comment on the brightness of one vs the other? Also it's interesting that the Lampaous lights are around $80 and Color Splash LXG around $200. Both light bulbs will go into a pentair Amerlite housing and there won't be any automation just manual power switch. My concern is about the brightness of the lights and maybe the quality given such a significant price difference.

They will replace two existing light bulbs on a 27,000 gallon pool with about 950sq ft area. I do not know what the watts are on the current lights but those lights are at least 10 yrs old and light up the pool pretty good.

As always thank you for the comments.

And color LED bulb will not be as bright as a white Halogen bulb. I am not sure how a pure white LED bulb would compare, but I am sure a pure white LED will better light up the pool than a color LED bulb set to "white".

I have a single J&J bulb in my pool. On "white" it almost lights up the shallow end. On any colors closer to red, the light does not travel very far at all. Don't believe the colors they show in the marketing where they show a fully red pool ... I think most of those pictures are photoshop.
