Laminar deck jet

I’ve been having issues with one of my deck jets since install. Pool builder said to not worry as it’s covered under warranty. I’m not getting anywhere with them. They keep saying Pentair will call me for service. They don’t call. I called Pentair and they said they have no record of the pool builder calling them. Regardless, this is my one jet. Water does not come out of the opening flush which to me would indicate a bad install, not a bad device. Won’t let me attach the video but you probably can see from the pics.

Pool company did try to adjust it 4-5 times but it just keeps getting worse. And when it’s dark out and the light for the device is on, it only shoots up the water maybe 10 inches vs all the way up like the other jets.

Any suggestions? Luckily I still have the last pool draw in my pocket so if I’m stuck buying a new one I can but just doesn’t seem right?

I do not have experience with deck jets, but I do have experience with contractors trying to wriggle their way out of obligations.

Make it clear what THEY need to do. Make it clear that you aren't paying until they do. Be kind, pleasant and assertive. I'd also do it in writing to avoid confusion.

it sounds like they installed the equipment and are passing you off to the manufacturer. Do you know that they just bought it? do you know if the warranty covers damage from workmanship?
