Klorman Watertech sand filter

Hi all.

I'm fairly new here, recent first time pool owner.

First post in this room.

Does anyone own a Klorman Watertech WT100-F or is familiar with it?

I haven't been able to find any information online and my local pool $hop was also useless.

I can't find a drain plug!

Looked everywhere around the filter belly and there is no drain plug!

Is it the only filter you need to drain manually from the top?

No real rush as there is no issue with the filter (yet), but I had some time today and thought I'd open the filter up and get familiar with it before something happens.
I didn't because I was not sure I could open it without draining it first.

I don't have a drain plug on my sand filter either so I don't see that it should be an issue for you, especially as you don't need to close your pool over winter.

I open my filter up once a year to give it a deep clean, using a hose to overflow the stuck debris out.

Hi Jezza,

Thanks for that, I wasn't overly concerned. Just wanted to check if I could still open up the filter and clean it when it's still full of water.
