Hello all
I am getting ready to open my pool. Today I disconnected my pump so that I could lub the O-rings. I can not get the O-rings to stay in their grooves during reassembly. The suction side one mostly stays in place, the one on the discharge will not stay in the groove. Any suggestions

Thanks

Hey, Craig. Did you get your Orings to stay in place for assembly?

I just installed an Intelliflo3 and the pump unions with the Orings seem poorly designed at best. It’s just a regular unsupported Oring in a shallow groove. Open to suggestions on how to get these new Orings to stay in place while I decide the nut in place. Thanks!

@FormerMurkyLagoon and @Craig22939, I can't picture exactly the parts either of you are working with, but sometimes an o-ring seats better in one part its sealing but not the other, which is sometimes just a flat surface, or at least not as "grooved" as the first part. If you can't get it to stay in place on one side, see if it works better on the other side.

This kind'a illustrates what I'm describing, groove on one part, not so much on the other:L
