Hi! So glad I have found this site. So much helpful info. I live in Loomis CA nice to see some local neighbors on these forums too.
I'm just getting started on planning a new pool install. I'm leaning towards owner build but before I start drafting up plans I was curious what some of the experts here think about my site.
My patio had a doughboy pool installed a few years ago, it was half buried (3ft) and took some abuse from previous owners and the neighbors tree collapsed a side. I ran it for about 2 years before removing it as it was deteriorating rapidly.
But now I have a large hole in my patio that I'd love to put an in ground gunnite pool in.
My current patio has a step up about halfway across, would this be an issue with water level? How would I address that? Would a patio demo/redo be a something i should consider?
The area with the hole is about 30ft long by 16ft wide
Check out the pics. Let me know what you think.
Thanks so much!
