Did overnight chlorine loss test.
While pool motor running, I put in chlorine around 8pm.
Retested water at 10pm.
Results:
FC: 11.0
CC: 0.0

Pool motor kept running all night.
Tested again at 6am.
Results:
FC: 11.0
CC: 0.0

Hope results are valid with the interval between tests.
Did the test since noticed over last 2 days my CC was at 0.5ppm (FC was at 8.5 each time, cya at 70). Was starting to worry I'm growing mushrooms somewhere.

GREAT job. You wondered and you put it to rest immediately. That's the difference between the pros and rookies. A rookie would have sat around for a week or two making excuses why they didn't need to OCLT and/or SLAM. One of the two gets a swamp more often than not and it ain't gonna be you.

For the record, the test is accurate to 1 drop, so between that and/or normal pool operation, .5 is totally acceptable. We allow 1 as well, although that's when I would personally wonder and very waking up early to prove it.

Anywho, bravo. Keep that FC free and clear away from minimum, as it appears you're doing, and you'll be trouble free.

Well, that's a perfect OCLT result. What does your water look like?
My water is crystal clear.
Couple weeks ago appeared not as good, with dirt easier to see, so I revised summer schedule to extend by one hour and make pump higher rpms during most heat, with morbing/evening much lower roms. Cleared it right up.

Awesome to see this result. I was gearing for a slam because last week noticed tiny spots of algea on waterline. I put bleach in a bowl, went around perimeter with brush and cleaned. Haven't seen return.

I was also worried because pool seemed to lose about 2-2.5ppm FC every day, although the 100% cloud free, above 100F days recently in central TX could be the reason...hoped so, this result seems to confirm.

So glad to have you folks in my cell phone (aka back pocket) for help. Thank you again.
