I bought intex 32 ft x 16 ft x 52 in Ultra Frame™ Rectangular Pool Set w/ Sand Filter Pump & Saltwater System. Will not be putting up until next spring (so will stay in box until then) but want to get stuff as it is going on sale now for end of season. Pump is Intex 28681EG 120V 16-Inch Krystal Clear Sand Filter Pump & Saltwater System with GFCI for Pools. How much actual salt and sand, not manual recommendation but, actual owner is needed? I have read on here the horror stories of having to drain gallons back out due to too much salt and do not want to make that mistake. Also a few people says it takes more than a 100lbs of sand. My gfci plug is on back of trailer 10ft from pool. Can anyone measure how big the gfci box is? I want to put it through electrical conduit and bury a few inches in ground so I can take it out for winter but don't know how many inches wide pipe needs to be. Or does anyone have any other ideas how to cover it to keep it from getting damaged so it can still be removed in winter. Live in Georgia where doesn't get very cold. Pool will stay up for winter but pump will go inside. No car will be driving over it but a full size ATV (about 750lb) will be.

If you are targeting 3000ppm, you should check the manual, PoolMath (link in top navigation of this site) says you will need 361 pounds of salt. My filter says on the label how much sand it needs.
