Jandy valve actuator settings

So i have had my pool now for 7 years-- i have never had to mess with the actuator toggle-- I was having issues with my spa drain mode, so I had to manually move the valve settings. In the process, I no longer remember what position my system was in for the ON 1 and On 2 toggles.

I have a spa spill over into the pool with a spa heater. I know when I was trying to put back in auto mode, when I heated my spa, the spa was still spilling water into pool, so I know that wasnt the correct setting.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
John

John,

Welcome to TFP... A Great resource for all pool owners with memory issues... :drown:

Most pools have three modes of operation..

1. Pool Mode... this is where the Automated Intake valve sucks water from the POOL and then the Automated Return valve sends water back to the POOL.

2. Spa Mode... this is where the Automated Intake valve sucks water from the SPA and then the Automated Return valve sends water back to the SPA.

3. Spillover Mode... this is where the Automated Intake valve sucks water from the POOL and then the Automated Return valve sends water back to the SPA.

If you look at the valves you will see that one side says OFF. If you put your system in the Pool Mode then both of the pipes coming from your Spa should be OFF. If not, turn the toggle to the opposite position and the valve should rotate 180 degrees.

Thanks for posting,

Jim R.
