jandy Never Lube 1/8 plug

Our 1/8 inch plug is leaking a bit, so i've got to replace it. trouble is..... getting the old one out. the stem broke of leaving only the threaded part inside. Any idea on the best way to get the rest of it out. Tried needle nose pliers to turn it, but no luck. same with screwdriver.

all ideas welcome.

Sharpen and then heat the tip of a flat screwdriver and push or tap it into the plug.

Let it cool for about 30 seconds and unscrew.

Don't hit the female threads.

Or get a set of straight screw extractors and use that to get it out. The straight ones work much better on plastic than the spiral ones do.

I'm guessing this is in plastic? Is there a hole in it now?

The screw driver method should work very well, or the easy outs. You might have to drill and retap the hole for 1/4 if you ruin the hole which is possible
