Jandy CL 460 R0554700 and

I just purchased the R0554700 (upper body) and the R0466500 (Tank bottom). Jandy's description says that both are used with their CL 460 model. But the two pieces don't fit and now I can't get a proper seal.
Could someone or some of you give me insight into what I missed?

I'll send a picture as soon as it stops hailing. Even with the O-ring it doesn't fit properly.

I finally got it. The O-ring would not stay put as I was putting on the top. A few tries, some frustration, walking away, and a shot of Tito's got it to fit just right.
