Jandry Water Sensor Shorted

Last week I woke up to a message that says Water sensor Shorted on my AquaLink panel. I ordered a new sensor and attempted to switch it out today. After switching the message remains. When I removed the sensor it did not move to “Open”. I disconected the air sensor and it did move to “Open” message.

Any ideas?

Sta-Rite gas Heater
Sta-Rite Pumps
Inground pool with Attached Spa

Nevermind, I disconnected the sensor again and turned off the breaker to my box, and after a restart the display read “Water Sensor Open”. I reconnected everything and we are back in business. Hope this helps anyone.
