Is this normal? (walls of oval pool not straight)

You need to call the installer back and have them fix it.
There is a way to fix it with the water still in it but let the installer figure that out.

A little buldging between the uprights is normal.

How do you fix this while full of water?

Not sure when full, but this is how it should have been done in the first place. The important part is sloping the supports in toward the pool. The water pressure straightens the supports. If installed with upright supports, they bulge out when water pressure is added.
