Is this mold? Never seen this before

Good day to all.
I fired the pool store about 2 weeks ago and JUST completed my second test using the
TF-PRO

I decided to clean the filter before adding CYA
I see all these spots in the filter. Have never seen this in over 15 years of cleaning the filter.

This is a new filter.

By the way, the pool looks clear and good right now.

Please have a look at the photo and my test results. ANY IDEAS ?

Humm. I wouldn't think mold in that environment with chlorine, but I could be wrong. I'm more curious if the pool tech added some junk to the water that may have caused that spotting.

The pool store tests.

So. what chemicals has the pool store sold you lately? Here at TFP we use very few products from pool stores actually.
We also do our own testing because pool store tests are often wrong, but they do sell a lot of chemicals, eh?

They do.
Usually it’s salt acid and stabilizer.

A while back they sold me a kit to bring down metals. Eg Cooper. Of course turns out my pool has a heater which they forgot.

Other than that not too many other chemicals. Thank God.

This is why I decided to job here. Buy the test kit and take over the water testing myself.

Humm, I wonder if that heater has a copper core? If it's corroding, that might explain the spotting.
