Is this a good price for trichlor tabs

This will be our 3rd (or fourth ) pool season. When it was built, we were given a tub of trichlor tabs that we used to chlorinate the pool year one. Year 2, we discovered TFP and have only used the trichlor pucks to raise CYA when needed. The original tub is almost empty and I got this ad via email today. We are planning a 2 week vacation in August and thinking trichlor pucks in the chlorinator might keep the fc level up for us. Is this what you would do? Is this a decent price? Our currently cya is only 40….thinking if we keep the level low until vacation, using the trichlor pucks will chlorinate sufficiently and not overdo the cya to the point of chlorine lock.

Not sure that u really need 35#’s of tabs to accomplish what u are wanting. Raising fc to slam level for your cya FC/CYA Levels along with a few tabs is good insurance so long as u account for their effects.
do u have someone that will check on the pool for u to clear the skimmers & such & possibly add some liquid chlorine?
I can’t comment on price as its all pretty high right now especially stabilized chlorine. If it were me, I’d just get a small tub.
