Is there a way to not see certain threads?

I generally visit TFP forums via the link TFP New Posts to see what's new. Many of the threads which appear are ones that I have looked at and know I do not want to read any more of. Is there a way to tell the forum never to show me a particular thread again?

I don't recall an ignore setting for threads, but once you have looked at all the 'New Posts' you can mark the forums Read and then next time you come on and go to 'New Posts' you won't see anything but the post that are new or added to, since your last visit.

If you select New Posts under What's New, Filter will show up in upper R/H corner. My experience has been the filter will stay on even when you log in or access at a later date.
