Is my T-Cell-15 installed correctly or backwards?

I can't figure out if I have installed it correctly, I'm replacing an older defective T-CELl-15 and I placed it back in the same way, but I feel as though t may have been in wrong according to the instructions, but my pool knowledge on my plumbing is lacking, so I'm not sure.

The cord is coming out of the left side of the T-CELL-15, and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to have it on the other side, the pool store guy made a big deal about it needing to be right or it was dangerous with the gas build up or something along those scary pool store lines.

Help please :)

Had to erase my comment as the research seems to indicate it doesn't matter. Some install it with the hump up and others down. Some recommend reversing it each time it's cleaned but I'm not finding anything in the instructions about that.

It's my lack of pool plumbing comprehension to understand if the cord end is back to the pool, I'm guessing by you mentioning it, it means that it is not and I should reverse it? I guess my pool guy didn't put it on right.

Can you explain the plumbing part to me please, I know he two unmarked liens are either my return on my pool wall or stairs and the ones going in to the pump or from my skimmer or bottom drain.
 
My understanding is the cell is not directional. If it were, certainly that would be mentioned in the installation instructions (it's not).
