Hey guys




I was studying about ways to stop calcium build-up and this method was intersting for
Me:


Water Improvement - Swiss Aqua Technologies







The main principle discussed here is turning the structure of calcuim carbonate from calcite to aragonite which will not stick to the pool surface.


Has any one ever had any experince working with it?

Can this method be used in swimming pools to stop calcium build-up?

It’s well known water pseudoscience nonsense. This stuff has been discussed for decades and literally no REAL scientific or engineering studies support the theory. It’s basically all designed to sound and look real but the reality is that it is snake-oil quackery designed to make your wallet lighter and that’s it …

I have already studied the link you put!

Actually what you are refering to is "magnetic or electromagnetic water treatment".
I know about it being pseudoscience nonsense but what i asked was " ion polatization water treatment" to stop calcum build-up.

It is different.

Let me explain the process:

"As water passes through an anti scale device it passes through a chamber in which cavitation occurs.

Actually cavitation is the reason for the change in structure of carbonate calcium from calcite to aragonite.the latter is less sticky."
 
Probably about as effective as ultrasound, magnets, harmonizers etc.

MAGNETIC WATER TREATMENT

5 CONCLUSIONS The results of this study do not indicate any clear advantage for any of the three devices tested versus a control for the inhibition of mineral scale formation or the corrosion of copper.

The test protocol was designed to simulate the method of production of hot water used in many larger institutional type settings that employ a shell and tube heat exchanger for the production of hot water.

The findings do not support the claims of the manufacturers regarding the ability of their respective devices prevent mineral scale formation in hot potable water systems.

The amount of mineral scale formed for the control versus device heat exchange tubes was relatively constant, and proved to be an effective insulator of heat transfer across the tube surface.

The scale formed was found to be a type of calcite (calcium carbonate), and had the same crystalline structure for each heat exchange tube. There was no discernible effect on the crystalline structure of the scale formed by any of the tested devices.

Conclusions.

The Model DC-36 Descal-A-Matic@ magnetic device, as evaluated in this investigation, was not useful for scale control at Treatment Facility D.

Whenever you see terms like Turbulent Galvanic Polarization, you can be pretty sure that the science is mostly made up nonsense.

What is FlowX Limescale remover

We live in a world where people are more likely to believe in magic, witches, wizards etc. than in real science.

Made up witchcraft is easier to believe in because you do not have to prove that any of it actually works.

You can make any claims you want with zero logic or reason.

You didn't really explain any process.

How exactly does a device, using nothing but the power of water pressure through the device, extract enough energy to take the dissolved calcium carbonate and crystalize it, then change the properties of the calcite crystal to arganonite, which is then redissolved in such a way as to not return to the more stable calcite form when it recrystallizes? And why does this process not lower the water pressure of the system after using the water pressure to power this process?

Whenever you see stuff like this you need to ask yourself a very important question - has the proposed experimental method been put through the scientific method of evaluation AND has it been peer-reviewed by someone else that is independent from the original author? Has this proposed experiment and data been reproduced by another investigator?

If this process is so "revolutionary" than those questions should be easy to answer ... find me scientific paper in a reputable journal that not only describes a method by which the experiment was conducted, along with results and data, but also describes the physical phenomenon that is happening as well as gives a theoretical basis for why it is happening based on first-principals of physics and chemistry.
