I live in Pflugerville Tx. We have a 18ft X 48" Coleman above ground pool. I very happy to find a forum where I can get real help. My pool is 6100 gallons. Currently we have issues with copper. I have a CuLator and stain free solution added to my pool to help. The water is crystal clear, we are doing our best to keep it that way, however last night I found a stain in the bottom of my pool. I tried to brush it but is not going anywhere. 😕 I added shock to see if it will go away tomorrow morning. I attached some pictures. The stain is brown. Any suggestions from the experts? Please

Welcome to TFP! Copper is never good in a pool. The stains are horrible and the only way to remove copper is by changing the water. If you have any copper-based products in your pool remove them now. Don't use any products advertising "Blue" as an ingredient. Stick to liquid chlorine. Be sure to use a TF-100 or Taylor K-2006C test kit to test your water and post a full set of results for us to evaluate. Also be sure to bookmark our Pool Care Basics for lots of great info.
