I wonder if any of them had leaks that allowed some vapor to interact with that plastic. Just a thought.

could be because i did smell some chlorine vapor when i opened the shed

Here is a discussion of how computer and gaming console plastics discolor over time: http://www.vintagecomputing.com/index.php/archives/189 One of the items I noticed is that a lot of the causes cite oxidation - which any chlorine present in the shed could add speed along. Depending on what you want to do your options appear to be - Sand it and/or paint it; try a high concentration of hydrogen peroxide - NOT MY RECOMMENDATION DUE TO DANGER; magic eraser (basically a very fine grit sanding in my opinion); or replacement.
Good luck and let us know what you decide. Personally I think I would try the paint option using a nice plastics friendly paint.
