Intex Ultra Frame Pool on a Concrete Pad

I set my Intex Ultra Frame pool (18' x 52") on a concrete pad in my yard. It seemed pretty level to me and I screwed up by not doing my due diligence and doing some more measuring. I set the pool up and it ended up being uneven by a couple inches, so I'm draining it to start over. Does anyone have a recommendation when it comes to leveling on concrete? I've read some places that sand isn't recommended for frame pools, but is there a safe way to do it? Is there a better method for this? Or is it just a bad idea altogether to try to put a frame pool on a slightly uneven concrete pad?

Mine is on a concrete slab also. It's a little over an inch off. 4 years ago I put my pool on carpet padding cut to size. I put a second layer underneath the low end to level it up a bit. At the end of that season, I took it down and stored it til this year (I threw out the pad). I forgot all about the slab being unlevel. I went ahead with set up. It seems to not matter THAT much, what with my teeny size pool. All that to say, perhaps try numerous stepped layers of carpet padding topped with a final layer or two of that 1/4 inch outdoor carpeting.

Was it you that posted about this a week ago about 2 1/2 out? I guess the first step would be is grab a laser level and find out exactly where the concrete starts dropping worse case a good long level and 2x4 or something as a strait edge. The problem with using dirt or sand on concrete is its always going to sluff out.. So you need to create a way to contain it something like lagging garden ties to your concrete to create a perimeter around your pool and then level it out..

Mines is not on concrete but it should work. I use landscape timber and HeadLOK to hold the two timber layers together. Also every 4 ft i pound rebar into the ground to prevent lateral shifting. Once the box is buit and secured i filled with crush runner and level using water and a lawn roller for compaction.

My pool is close to a tree and i had to overcome the roots issue because my city is really big on protecting trees.

It took me about 2 1/2 weeks because, i did it by myself. i can only work on it 2hrs after work and weekends and it rained most of the time. If i had a helper and no weather issues, i could had it done in 2-3 days.
