Set our 20ft x 52" pool up on Memorial day. Spent several days filling it then hooked up the sand filter and SWCG. My TF100 test kit just arrived yesterday so I have not tested the water yet.
I've been having to backflush about every day or so. I finally opened the top today on the sand filter and the sand is hard like concrete. There were a few rocks of sand that came out and the rest is hard and stuck.
I used the HTH brand pool filter sand.
Only thing I've added in the water was one bottle of this menards chlorine stabilizer via the sock method.
I assume this shouldn't be like this and is part of my filtering/flow troubles?

I assume I need to try to remove and replace the sand.
