Intex Automatic Pool Cleaner- stopped help

My Intex Automatic Pool Cleaner worked great,.. twice. I’ve googled and watched some video tips,.. still not moving!
It appears that the little slider doesn’t move far enough to the right and the lever is not pushed far enough to close. Any ideas?

My first unit worked for two months, then one day it would only go one direction. I took apart the gears and used spray lubricant to get it to move easily. Never fixed the issue. I called Intex to set up a warranty replacement. Filled out the online paperwork and sent in a pdf of the receipt. I had the part in a week. I would recommend contacting intex for replacement.
