I just got my new intex 2800 gph sandfilter pump setup. The noise level is horrible it's 80 dB 3 ft away its audible on the other side of my house.
The pump is brand new.
Is this normal?

Sorry to hear about your noisy pump troubles. That can be difficult to listen to. Some motors are louder than others, but with a brand new motor I would hope it shouldn't be too loud. I don't recall ......is that a single speed motor or 2-speed? Are you still having the problem? Have you tried contacting Intex Customer Service?
