Intex 12ft prism pool with krystal clear pump...pump not working at all

Hi everyone
Set up pool about 2 weeks ago all was good!
Last night (without thinking) i pulled lid off pump while it was running...it made some weird frying/gurgling noises then abruptly stopped!
I am at a loss with what to do. I am not mechanically minded at all!! Someone said the pump will b fine just needs primimg. Someone eise said pump dead!
All advice greatly appreciated. This is my daughter and I xmas pressie n i need the pump running ! I basically need step by step instructions!

The only way you will know for sure, is to make sure the pump is full of water and turn it back on.....

I've done the same thing, but my pump still worked... Give it a go, but make sure its full of water....

Should not be dead, prime the pump with it off and fill it with water, then put the lid back on
